Our Senior Leadership Team is comprised of the Head Teacher, Miss C MacDonald and two Deputes, Miss J Scott-Moncrieff and Mr A Breen.
Each of our young people is allocated a House. The Support Teachers responsible for these Houses are usually the first point of contact if you have any concerns, issues or if you wish to tell us about successes. We are always happy to publish interesting stories in our monthly Skyelines newsletter.
The houses and teachers responsible are:
- Glamaig: Mrs S Cormack firstname.lastname@example.org
- Marsco: Mr Neil Burrows email@example.com
- Tianavaig: Mrs D MacLeod firstname.lastname@example.org
We have a large Support for Learning department, led by Mrs C Huggan. This department supports a wide variety of students in their specific needs, ensuring that appropriate and efficient provision is made for all pupils, including those who have an additional support need which may affect their education.
The SLT work together with Pupil Support, Support for Learning, and our nine Faculty/Department Heads to ensure that all students have the very best opportunities to access and achieve in their learning throughout and beyond their school career.
Tuesday 26th June, 5.30-7.00pm in PHS to raise funds for our partner school in Zambia - Hope & Faith. There will be plenty of tea, coffee, cakes and more for sale so make sure to bring a friend!
FAO All Parents,
We hope this finds you well. The examination season is over, and pupils are moving into new classes and starting new courses. At this stage in every year it is an opportunity to recognise that pupils at Portree High School work hard to achieve and meet their aspirations.
As a school, we continue to develop policies designed to support teaching and learning in our classrooms. As part of this we are reviewing our behaviour policy, and developing a Promoting Positive Behaviour (PPB) policy at Portree High School.
To do this, we are carrying out a survey to consult staff, pupils, and parents. It is essential that we have a range of contributions, as it gives us a wide picture of you and your child’s experience of the school.
- Please follow the link above to complete the survey. This survey will close on the 29th June 2018.
- At the end of the survey there is an opportunity to self-select for a further discussion / working group to be arranged during the new term.
(We estimate that it will take 10-15 minutes to complete this survey. However, it will not save any selected options, so you should aim to complete this in one sitting without closing your browser window.)
Thank you for your time. If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact the school.
